“I joined Running Strength 101 on a bit of a whim, I was mid-way through my 10k training cycle and thought “why not give it a shot”. I’m so glad I did, this program and Kylie are amazing!
Session after session I thought “I’m not going to manage all of these reps”…and then I did. Each time I was able to do the complete session l’d feel so frickin’ proud of myself. I was building physical and mental strength.
I got to race day injury free and feeling so strong.
Thank you, Kylie – you’re not only the best but you made strength training fun & interesting.”

“As someone who has been very busy with work and kicking off marathon training, testing Kylie’s 20 minute strength program came at the perfect time! Even when working long hours, and getting up early to fit runs in, I was able to get strength in before dinner. We just moved and I no longer have access to a gym at home, but minimal equipment is needed for this. If you’re struggling to find time to do all the things, this is a great way to get in some strength. All exercises are well laid out and explained, but if you need cues, the videos work so well. And of course, Kylie is always around to answer any questions.
You don’t need to spend hours in the gym, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed. I 10/10 recommend this for everyone and anyone trying to juggle it all and/or wants to start incorporating strength into routine.”

“Kylie’s strength program helped me establish a solid foundation going into my training block. Although the training block was difficult in terms of consistency at times, I managed through without any serious setbacks or injuries. Kylie was very helpful in coaching me through load management both in terms of running and lifting volume. After cranking out a 9min PB in my marathon, I plan to continue the program with a goal of hitting a 3:30 finish eventually.”

“I fully recommend Running Strength 101, for many reasons no matter your age. I never had any experience with strength training, never had touched a weight. I wanted to be stronger when running and improve my overall health and mobility. Seeing Kylie on instagram and reading her qualifications and the reasons behind all she suggests, I thought l’d give it a try.
I never in a million years would have thought l’d enjoy it as much as I do. It definitely has made me stronger in my running, taking six minutes off a previous race time proved that, but l also feel stronger in everyday movements and mobility. If anyone is thinking about starting Runners Strength 101 you won’t be disappointed! There are so many benefits to it and not just in improving your running. This program is amazing! If you want to improve your running and at the same time get other health benefits, sign up now! Thanks so much Kylie for helping me be a healthier and stronger person.”

“I love how simplified and user friendly the program is. It is perfect for an all out beginner, or someone trying to get back into routine. Kylie lays out each exercise super well, giving options for modifications based on your current level. This is a great program that is super doable for most schedules. Being able to put aside 20 mins to work through it is manageable, and I am someone who typically has something on the go all the time.
I like that it is repeatable, so over time you can track progress and see the improvements. I would recommend if someone is on the fence about a longer form strength programming, to give ’20 minutes to a stronger run’ a chance, because then you can see what it is all about, and also will learn that Kylie walks the walk and talks the talk 😉”

“I am so very happy that I finally decided to do Kylie’s running strength training for my marathon training. The workouts were fun and straight forward. While I wasn’t able to complete my final testing of training, I know the training greatly supported me on my marathon day.
Thank you Kylie!”

“I’ve had a few years of continuous strength training and racing cycles under my belt, so I was curious to see how my running mechanics were.
I found Kylie’s running assessment to be a very helpful and informative learning experience. She did a great job of providing clarity on things such as heel-striking, hip flexion, and cadence. And it turns out improving running economy isn’t a simple quick fix of any one thing but rather a combination of them. I also now know some of the exercises that I need to incorporate into my regular strength training so that I can hit my marathon goals for next year. Highly recommended for all runners.“

“The VO2 testing was very eye opening for me. Coming back to running post injury, I wanted to know where I was at fitness wise (and heading into a big marathon training block).
The test itself was extremely challenging for me, and it really became a test of my mental limits (and trying to push myself farther and harder). Kylie is super motivating, positive and I can tell wants the best for her clients. She was there to support every step of the testing.
I am a huge stats and data nerd, so it was super fun and helpful seeing it all laid out after the testing. I was impressed with how far I have come and some of the numbers that my testing came out with. (However, I don’t recommend doing this test the day after a 10k race!). I would highly suggest everyone take a VO2 test at some point – doesn’t matter skill level, pace, ability, I know it is something I can refer to going forward. I look forward to re-testing in the fall to compare my results post marathon training block!”
Andrea – VO₂ Max Test
“I hired Kylie to create a personalized training plan for Chicago Marathon. The program was easily laid out and easy to follow, with descriptions for terminology, types of runs, paces etc. I have never followed a plan that was tailored specifically for me, with my goals in mind. I loved the diversity of the workouts, and the build in the long run distances felt attainable, preparing me for race day. Although my race day did not go according to plan due to some other factors, I felt confident leading up to race day, knowing that I had put in the right amount of work. If 1:1 coaching is not in your budget, I highly suggest going this route and having Kylie create a training plan for you.”
Andie – Personalized Race Plan
“I’ve been really loving digesting the results and learning more about my physiology. I’m currently thinking I’d probably like to do another VO2 max test sometime early summer to see if I’m moving the needle on the VT1 threshold and get another data point to ensure my training plan is effective.”
Adam – VO₂ Max Test
“To my awesome running coach @morganexercisephysiology; I really had your work cut out for you! I had never run anything more than 21km on road and asked you to help me train for my first ever ultra while also being away every weekend in the summer Thank you for all the effort you put into training plans, routes and the advice you gave me along the way. It really paid off in the end.
This was really a couch to 50km experience in 3.5 months. She pushed me while also being incredibly realistic about my expectations for a first Ultra. If you’re thinking about your next big race and wanted to know if one on one coaching is worth it, I can say absolutely it is!“
Prianka – Squamish 50k
“This is my third time running the Vancouver half marathon race and third time training alongside Kylie. I noticed a significant change in my pace and mindset from this training compared to last year. I overall had a great time at the race and finished with a course PR!”
Kayla – Vancouver Half
“Thanks to Kylie’s knowledge and support I surpassed my goal for the 5k! Her assistance keeping me on track and hyping me up was instrumental this race. I couldn’t be more proud of our hard work and can’t wait to take on more challenges!”
Hannah – Shamrock 5k
“I signed up for the Squamish 23k with both excitement and nerves as it was the longest distance I would attempt to complete thus far in trail running. Kylie always has a way of seeing potential in her runners and through a great plan was able to push me to a new level that I wasn’t always sure I could reach. This training block prepared me perfectly for the race, so much so that when I crossed I said “I can’t wait to do that again!” Looking forward to the next challenge coach and I will tackle together.”
Katie – Squamish 23k
“Thanks to Kylie’s 1-on-1 coaching I was able to have a pretty good run even with an injury!! Her personalized approach (keeping my injury in mind), supportive encouragement, and always answering my questions and concerns pretty quickly really helped me push through and do the race. Looking forward to the next run with her help 😊”
