You’d never do that, that’s insane 😂

But a 30min run when you return from injury doesn’t sound so bad, right? It’d be an easy pace..

But if it’s at a cadence of 180 steps per minute that’s 2700 “reps” on each leg

Puts it into perspective eh? 😅

Good news! 📣

The surgeon was so impressed with how long I got out of the last injection that he thinks we can keep managing it with shots for now, and further surgery isn’t going to be anytime soon 🥳

There was also only *slightly* further degeneration on the X-rays which is more good news

Honestly, it’s easy to get down about how shit my knees are, and the fact that it’s genetic so there’s nothing I can do about it really sucks

But to be where I am, 16 years after being diagnosed with Grade 4 Osteoarthritis (that’s end-stage), is a pretty cool testament to how powerful exercise, and especially strength training, is 🙌🏼

Hoping I’ll be back running for our trip to Australia at the end of this month!

(Also, iPhones didn’t exist when I was 22 so that first pic is from my right knee surgery in 2014 😂)
